Sterilization and Control of Cross Infection :

UNIQUE FEATURE OF DENTALL ICON IS NO STERILIZATION BEHIND THE WALLS. STERILIZATION IS DONE IN A TRANSPARENT GLASS ROOM WHICH CAN BE VISUALIZED BY THE PATIENTS.

Your safety is our priority. We operate under the strictest cross-infection control procedures. All equipments are fully sterilized between patients using autoclaves according to international standards of sterility. All clinical staff attends in housing training programs to keep up with the up to date information and to meet the demands of international guidelines and regulations.

Dental instruments are scrubbed under running water and are sterilized in the auto clave under the temperature of 135 Celsius. Each sterilization is monitored and recorded according to international guidelines.

All surfaces are disinfected using an antibacterial spray before each treatment. Disposable gloves, Face Masks, protective clothing and disposable surface covers are used for each treatment.

We focus our attention towards cross infection therefore we take great care in sterilization methods at our Dental Clinic, we carry out all possible sterilization and disinfection procedures needed for infection control. This is provided to each and every patient to prevent the transmission of the AIDS virus, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Tetanus and other infectious diseases. We use appropriate protective garb such as gloves, and masks.

Sterilization is the complete elimination or destruction of all forms of microbial life and is accomplished in healthcare facilities by either physical or chemical processes.

Disinfection describes a process that destroys many or all pathogenic microorganisms on inanimate objects with the exception of bacterial spores. Method of sterilization that may be used for these instruments and materials that are heat stable include steam under pressure (autoclave), chemical (formaldehyde) vapors, and dry heat.

Out of these three methods steam under pressure i.e. autoclaving is the most dependable method of sterilization. All of our dental instrument including our Hand pieces are sterilized to 135 degree Celsius using a vaporizing effect created from high pressure pushing heat thoroughly all over and through every part of the instrument, even a very tiny spaces.

We carry out a 4 step sterilization standard for all non-disposable items.

STEP 4
sterilized instruments are kept in water proof package under U.V. Chamber to maintain sterilization. To ensure a bacteria free environment at the clinic we carry out fumigation process every week wherein, the whole clinic is treated with chemical fumes to see that the treatment environment remains bacteria free.
